Case ready veal is cut and packaged at the processing plant. The meat is packed in a modified atmosphere container to allow for greater shelf life, typically, twelve days after packaging. Packaging is available where veal may be stored up to 30 days and has 3-days shelf life in the case.

Since the product is already packed, shelves can be restocked quickly, reducing the possibility of lost sales.

Case ready puts variety into the meat case. Products are merchandised easily, with no extra knowledge,skill or labor required of meat case employees. Sales increase due to variety, added value, shelf life and availability. Costs are lowered by avoiding shrink, eliminating rewraps, overstocking, packaging and labor.

Case ready, branded veal products change consumer perception that veal is a commodity, raising customer confidence that consistent quality and taste can be expected from recognizable veal labels.

Cooking instructions and recipe cards are available for inclusion with packaged products.
